LOS ANGELES, CA -- Representatives for both R&B songstress Beyonce and rap star and music mogul, Jay Z, are denying reports that the two will be wed this weekend in the Caribbean island of Anguilla.
Spokepersons for both stars told Reuters the rumors, which were first published in the New York Post this week, are not true, adding they have no knowledge of any impending nuptials.
But Internet reports, fuelled largely by the Post Page 6 story, claims the two will tie the knot at Cap Juluca, a luxury resort on the British dependent territory.
Earlier this month, a source told HBN the island was abuzz with claims of the pending nuptials.
Beyonce, 25, had said the Caribbean event was only a birthday party for Jay-Z, born Sean Carter, who turned 37 Monday. But the Post claims it’s a cover and guests were invited to a party aboard a yacht anchored off St. Barts. From there they will be ferried to Anguilla for the wedding.
The couple have been dating for .Recently there were rumors of a break up as Beyonce rapped on her new album ‘B-Day’s’ ‘'Ring The Alarm',’ “Ring the alarm. I been through this too long. But I'll be damned if I see another chick on your arm.”
