RAY DARWIN ON THE RISE
He is not quite new to the music business, but Ray Darwin who speaks fluent German is making inroads on the Jamaican scene right now. Darwin who spent a few years in Germany after being signed by the Berman Brothers (producers of ‘Who Let The Dogs Out), he has decided that ‘home is where the real reggae action is.’
Darwin has now teamed up with Tads Record International to do a single titled ‘People’s Choice,’ which will be released in the near future. For this conscious Rastafarian, he is all set on getting his piece of the Reggae pie and he feels doing good, quality recording is the way to go.
STANLEY BECKFORD UPDATE
HardBeatNews spoke with Stanley Beckford recently and he is in high spirits. He informed that he has only a few sessions of the radiation treatment remaining. The singer is giving praises to the Almighty for bringing him through this ordeal. He hopes to be up and about soon to “perform for his fans!”
STOP THE FOOLISHNESS!
What’s happening in the music business? One would think that dancehall acts would wake up and take notice. At one staging of Sting, the show was prematurely ended when a fracas broke out with Vybz Kartel and Ninja Man.
And at the staging of Movado Birthday Splash, we heard of punches being thrown and a fight breaking out on stage between Idonia and Kartel’s entourage! Why can’t we all get along? Come on guys, focus on the greater good of the business and leave out the almshouse!
