KARACHI, Pakistan -- The West Indies batting order has largely collapsed under a fiery spell of Pakistani bowling, lugging on at 209 for seven on day three of play in the third and final test at the National Stadium today.
The Windies Denesh Ramdin and Daren Powell were occupying the crease at 12:45 EST this morning on 10 and one, respectively. Danish Kaneria and Umar Gul have turned into the wreckers of the Windies, with both bolwers mopping up three wickets apiece for 58 and 54, respectively.
Back in the stands are openers Chris Gayle, Daren Ganga, skipper Brian Lara, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shiv Chanderpaul and Runako Morton.
Ganga was the lone batsman to stage a fight back, hitting a whopping 81 before he was felled by a Abdul Razzaq delivery. Lara and Sarwan were dismissed for ducks by Gul while Kaneria took the wickets of Chanderpaul and Morton, after they managed to add 36 and 31, respectively.
