KARACHI, Pakistan -- The West Indies bowlers made quick work of the remaining seven Pakistan wickets earlier today as play resumed on the second day of the final test here at the National Stadium in Karachi.
The host side’s first innings total was curtailed to 304 all-out, as the batting order collapsed under the attack of Windies bowlers Daren Ganga, Jerome Taylor, Daren Powell, Corey Collymore
and Dwayne Bravo.
Mohammed Yousuf’s knock of 102 was by far the best response to the Windies bowlers with the next best response coming yesterday from Imran Farhat with 47, and today, from wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal, with 31.
Skipper Inzaman Ul Haq was bowled by Ganga and caught by Chanderpaul for 18 while Shohab Malik was also sent back to the pavilion for 18 after falling leg before wicket to a Taylor delivery.
Abdul Razzaq added seven before he was bowled by Bravo while Umar Gul added 26 before falling to a Powell delivery. Powell also had Shahid Nasir out without scoring. Danesh Kaneira ended on 7 not out.
Collymore ended with 3 for 57 off 21 overs while Powell and Bravo picked up two wickets apiece. Ganga and Taylor bagged one each.
