Antigua and Barbuda Aims For A Million Visitors

New York, NY -- Antigua and Barbuda’s minister of tourism and civil aviation, Harold Lovell, says his country is aiming to attract 1,000,000 visitors from cruise and stay over arrivals combined, by the end of 2007.

Lovell made the comment during the NY kick-off of the Antigua and Barbuda’s Ministry of Tourism yearlong marketing campaign to promote its Jubilee Year of Festivals. The island celebrated its 25th anniversary of independence on Nov. 1, and is also commemorating 25 years of hosting international cricket, 40 years of sailing week and 50 years of carnival.

Highlights of the Jubilee Year of Festivals campaign include ‘25 Reasons to Travel to Antigua and Barbuda,’ ‘25 Adventures You Ought to Try in Antigua and Barbuda,’ and ‘25 Tips When Traveling to Antigua and Barbuda.
